Bet99 doesn’t really have a mobile app you can download and install. They do have an “app” section on the mobile version of their website, however that only prompts you to place a shortcut on your home screen. Let’s set that aside for now and look at their mobile website, how it works, what it is good at and where it can use some improvement.
First of all, we would like to cover the technical side of things – we tested Bet99 with four different smartphones: an iPhone 6, an iPhone XR, Google Pixel 2 XL and a Nokia 5.1 plus. The website and all of its features worked smoothly on all four devices, so even if you have a relatively outdated phone – you should be able to bet there without any issues. The main reason behind such good performance is caching. Bet99 re-uses a lot of the same elements on different pages and all such elements will be cached by your browser, this significantly reduces loading times and overall traffic usage.
Now we can take a look at the actual user interface, which has its own strengths and shortcomings. The main thing we really enjoyed about their interface are the user and account management sections. They make it extremely easy to review your bet history and manage your funds, especially request withdrawals and submit documents if needed. The actual betting interface is what may require some improvement– the sports selector doesn’t have an indication of the number of games available in each sport. The same applies to individual games, you have no way of knowing how many markets are open in a given game without actually opening up the game in question. This is by no means a big deal, but we still hope that this might be added at some point in the future.
